The kids were on break from school while we were in Lamu and they seemed to enjoy their free time. You would spot them walking through town carefree as can be, hand in hand with one another or playing on the beach and covering themselves head to toe in sand, then jumping in the ocean to rinse off. I didn't take part, but it looked like fun as long as your skin isn't sunburnt like mine was.

Chels! I didn't realize you were in Kenya and Lamu! My friend has been in Kenya since last April, out on the Mara studying Hyenas! He's been to Lamu many times and took my best friend there (when they were still dating). It looks like you had a wonderful time!
